BBBS Films is a new service that provides the local BBBS agencies with inspirational documentary films that can be viewed on the internet, or shown during meetings to help inspire individuals to become involved. Six films will be produced each year capturing the best, most entertaining stories from across the nation. The service also includes: customizing the films to your local agency, a custom internet TV platform, internet hosting for your films, and three bonus films. Q. What benefits can I get by signing up for the service?
A. The BBBS Films service will allow your agency to market the BBBS message in an entirely new way and gain a huge number of benefits.

1. First, the films address the fact that most local agencies currently do not have an effective tool to use over the internet. BBBS films will allow your agency to email inspirational videos to your prospective donors and volunteers. You will also be able to organize with your corporate partners to utilize the videos in an internal email to help with fundraising and recruitment drives.
2. The cost of a yearly subscription is fraction of the cost for your agency to produce a single video on your own. With 6 films, internet platform, and bonus DVDs, you are getting at least 35 times the value of your investment. This will also give small agencies the ability to use film as a tool, where in the past it was never within the range of a small agency budget.
3. Your agency will have its own local BBBS logo imbedded at the front of each video. This will make the film unique to your agency and will help tie your local agency into the film.

7. In the fall of 2008, a training video will be produced that will highlight the best practices of BBBS Films. By gathering input from agencies across the U.S. and Canada the most effective ways to use the videos will be determined.
8. BBBS Films provides the films in DVD format. This will allow your agency to use the videos at events, recruitment drives, or other places where appropriate.
9. You can also make DVD copies of the films. This will allow you to distribute your message by sending the DVDs in the mail or handing them out in person. By giving the DVD as a gift it encourages reciprocation and increases the likelihood someone will give back.
10. BBBS Film subscribers will also receive two bonus DVDs: “Become a Big” and “Become a Donor.” These short films will educate the public on reasons and benefits of why they should become a volunteer or donor. These films will be a perfect follow-up to the six entertaining films, by providing more information about the movement and how the program directly impacts the lives of children.

Q. How do I use the films?
A. The films are provided on DVD and are also available instantly on the internet. This gives your agency a variety of ways to use the film.
Instant internet viewing - Each film will be hosted on the BBBS Films web server making it easy for anyone to access your custom film on the web. Just click your film’s internet link and it will take you right to your film.
Receive the films in DVD format - This will give you the ability to show your custom film in meetings or at events where internet service might not be readily available.

Q. How is the BBBS Film service customized to my agency?
A. For the six entertaining films we customized each of those films in three ways.
1. Add your local BBBS agency logo at the beginning of the film.
2. Add your local corporate sponsor logo (optional).
3. Add your custom call to action at the end of the film. Call to action includes: four match photos, narrator voiceover, your agency logo and contact information.
We also include with the service, a custom internet TV platform. The internet platform includes a unique URL so people can access your custom films, and also includes your local agency logo with an internet link back to your local agency website.
Q. When will the bonus films be available?
A. A majority of the filming has already been completed for the bonus films “Become a Donor” and “Become a Big”. These two films are scheduled to be released in August. The product “Training” and best practices will be released in the fall of 2008.
Q. Can I make copies of the DVDs?
A. Yes. You are given the right to make and distribute DVD copies of the custom films, as long as distribution is free to the film recipients. Some agencies are planning on copying the film on smaller business card size DVDs and including a copy in their annual campaign piece.
